It’s a good idea to know the person you are dealing with. Especially when the first contact comes through the internet. With that in mind, I am describing my experience, in great detail, to help you make the informed decision to book your travel through It’s A Fine Day.

I am a CTC (Certified Travel Counselor), which means I have passed a graduate level course given by the Institute of Certified Travel Agents, now The Travel Institute. I have also been certified an "Aussie Specialist " by the Australian Tourist Commission. I am one of fewer than 300 “Tahiti Tiare Agents” in the United States, a “Kiwi Specialist,” named by Tourism New Zealand, and “Matai Agent” of the Fiji Tourist Board. Professionally, I served for four years on the board of directors of the Southern California chapter of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). I am currently President of the Valley chapter of ARTA, the Association of Retail Travel Agents, and Membership Chair of the Los Angeles chapter of APTA, the Association for the Promotion of Tourism to Africa.

But where have I actually been? Through nearly all of Australia—Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns, Darwin, Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, Adelaide, Kangaroo Island, Melbourne, Perth, Tasmania, Canberra, most of the points in between, most recently exploring Broome to Darwin on an Orion Expedition cruise; New Zealand, the North and South islands; Tahiti—Moorea, Bora Bora, Tahiti, Rangiroa, Manihi, Tikehau, Fakarava; Fiji; Singapore; Malaysia; Indonesia—Bali, Java, Lomboc, West Timor; Thailand; most of mainland China--Shanghai, Xian, Guilin, Wuhan, Chonqing; Beijing; Hong Kong; Macau; India; throughout Africa--Egypt; Kenya; Tanzania; Morocco; South Africa--Cape Town, Durban, Sun City, Kruger National Park and Sabi Sands, where I met Sir Richard Branson; Israel; the Caribbean—Antigua, Barbados, St. Thomas, Tortola, Martinique, CUBA (legally!); Europe several times—England, Scotland, Wales, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Russia, and Finland; most of the 50 states, including Hawaii; a good bit of Canada; much of Mexico, including Copper Canyon; Costa Rica; Colombia; Jamaica.

My company, It’s A Fine Day, is associated with Signature Travel Network as well as a local travel agency for airline ticketing.
